The Apartheid Museum is a one-of-a-kind establishment that displays South Africa during the turbulent years of apartheid.
Apartheid Museum & Soweto Tour Details:
After pick-ups, we start our journey towards the center of Soweto, while driving past Baragwanath Hospital, a colossal taxi rank, and Motsoaledi informal settlement. Accompanied by your guide, traverse through the streets, past street cafés and craft markets, and reach a community center. Cordially greet and meet the people in the settlement and acquaint yourself with their way of life.
Subsequently, our path leads us to Orlando West, the heart of Soweto. We shall pause outside Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square, allowing for a rapid overview (the option to enter is discretionary), before proceeding to the Hector Pieterson Museum for a formal tour. Continuing along the bustling Vilakazi Street, you shall pass iconic landmarks and the homes of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, as well as Archbishop Desmond Tutu. If time permits, you have the option of halting at the Nelson Mandela Museum for a visit (additional charges apply
