Apartheid Museum & Lesedi Cultural Village Tour Overview:
The museum illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid through 22 individual exhibition areas, including dramatic film footage. A tour of the museum takes you on an emotional journey; from the heartbreaking struggle for freedom and equality to the ultimate climax of the election of Nelson Mandela, the first Black president of South Africa.
Lesedi Cultural Village is located in the heart of The Cradle of Humankind which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Set in the lush African bushveld on the outskirts of Johannesburg, Lesedi Cultural Village offers a unique perspective of the beliefs, folklore and traditional way of life of 5 different cultural groups in South Africa.
